Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the insertion of fine sterile
needles into the body at specific points shown as effective in
the treatment of certain health problems. These points have been
mapped out by the Chinese over thousands of years.
Acupuncture is effective in treating the following conditions;
sinus/nasal inflammation, respiratory disorders, gastrointestinal
disorders, eye disorders, nervous system and muscular disorders.
Acupuncture has been used for centuries in China to treat many
other problems.
Modern medicine cannot explain fully how acupuncture works. Acupuncture
is based on the theories of the flow of Qi (Energy) and Xue (Blood)
through distinct pathways that cover the body like the nerves
and blood vessels do. Acupuncture allows the Qi to flow in areas
where it is deficient, and away from where it is excessive.
Acupuncture is virtually painless, although some patients have
reported "heaviness," tingling, cramping or a tingling
sensation at the insertion point. If you experience any discomfort,
it is usually mild. A pleasant side-effect of Acupuncture is relaxation.
 Acupuncture treatment
is covered by many
insurance policies, ask if yours does.
